Chinese Bunkhouse Remnant

A few months ago we wrote about a visitor who told us about the Chinese Bunkhouse, just to the northwest of the Museum.

Turns out we have a portion of the bunkhouse in our collection. It's a melted ball of glass with rusty nails imbedded within it.

does anyone know when the bunkhouse was destroyed/demolished? and how?
I seem to remember it during trips to Rocky Point Park during the 50's

We are not sure when the Chinese Bunkhouse was destroyed, though someone else told us it burned down in the Forties.

If you have more information on it, we'd love to talk to you. If you want to share some information or even be part of our Oral History Project (this is where we record on CD what you say), please call us at (604) 939-1648.
